Our Story
Strenova Exteriors was founded by Josh Byler in July of 2018. He started doing this work back in 2012 for his grandpa for his construction company, Heritage Construction Inc., and fell in love with it immediately. Back in his hometown of South Bend, Josh’s grandpa was known for his extremely high level of quality and professionalism. He wanted to make sure that all of his workers treated his customers with the utmost respect, and provided them with a finished product that would be unmatched by the competition. It’s this same mentality that he uses to run Strenova Exteriors.
As mentioned before, Josh’s career started at Heritage Construction in high school and continued through the college summers. After college, he tested out the corporate world and went to work for none other than Sherwin-Williams. It was fun and challenging, but he quickly realized that the corporate world just wasn’t for him. After about six months, he left his office job and began working for his grandpa again.
It was during this next year that the idea of starting his own business became an evermore enticing pursuit. While at Sherwin, Josh saw that there was huge potential to start their own company in Indianapolis. Painters that seemed unmotivated or cared little about the quality of their work were getting jobs left and right; and if this was happening in the painting industry, then it was surely happening in other areas of construction. He thought that if these people could stay busy, then he would surely be able to take over the Indianapolis market!
Thus, Strenova Exteriors was born. He was confident that his work would be unmatched, and that the knowledge he gained through his education from business school, working for Sherwin-Williams and working for Heritage Construction would set him far above the competition. After the first couple of months, it was clear that the only thing separating him from success was his willingness to persevere. If he could make it through that first year, then he could do anything.
It’s his love of the work and working with his customers that allows him to give 110% in everything that he does. He prides himself on being the most honest business owner so that his customers can sleep soundly at night.
